POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Management, this role will own and drive Agile SCRUM execution across multiple epics on the technology roadmap. The Product Manager will translate stakeholder needs across Sales, Fulfillment, and Client Experience into well-scoped, high-ROI product features.

The role requires strong judgment in prioritization and scope management, using data-driven frameworks to assess value, estimate timelines based on development velocity, and guide go-to-market releases through demos, training, and post-launch support. The Product Manager will partner closely with Engineering, external vendors, and business leaders in an operationally complex environment, including the delivery of AI/ML-powered features, while continuously measuring adoption, analyzing performance and usage data, and incorporating customer and competitive insights into future roadmap decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead Agile SCRUM development of multiple epics that comprise the Magellan Jets technology roadmap
  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders across Sales, Fulfillment, and Client Experience workflows
  • Analyze and prioritize feature requests from a value-to-business and ROI perspective
  • Determine ROI for requested features using data-driven frameworks (e.g., RICE, Kano)
  • Estimate delivery timelines based on development velocity and capacity
  • Demo key features to internal stakeholders
  • Manage go-to-market releases, including stakeholder communication, training, and post-launch support
  • Measure feature adoption and performance, and gather competitive insights to inform future roadmap decisions

COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Agile product management tools such as JIRA, Pivotal, or Asana
  • Understanding of LLM- or ML-based product development, including story writing and performance metrics (Precision, Recall, F1)
  • Familiarity with aviation or adjacent industries is a plus

Experience & Education:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role
  • 2–3 years of experience directly managing or influencing a P&L of $10MM+
  • Experience launching multiple LLM- or ML-based features
  • Demonstrated experience working with critical-path technology vendors to deliver projects
  • Experience working in operationally intensive environments with physical deliverables (e.g., transportation, logistics, or CPG)
  • Experience building prototypes or running experiments
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking skills, particularly in distinguishing essential versus optional scope
  • Basic SQL and/or BI skills to extract and analyze data

Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems from the end-user perspective
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks to accelerate time to market
  • High degree of customer empathy and focus on addressing customer pain points

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent regional travel via car or air is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for client-facing interactions

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position doesn’t have any management responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Primarily office-based, with 1 remote/ work from home day each week.
  • Conditions: General office environment with moderate noise levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Occasional walking/ movement between work areas (e.g., meetings, restrooms, or kitchen).
  • Repetitive Hand and Wrist Movements via frequent typing and use of a mouse.
  • Light lifting of office supplies, documents, or equipment (up to 20 lbs).
  • Screen Use: Prolonged use of a computer screen.

TRAVEL:

Limited, but may require occasional overnight travel for industry conferences, meetings, or operational oversight at other locations.

This Product Manager position offers a competitive annual salary of $120,000–$150,000. Final compensation is determined by experience and location, and the role is eligible for Magellan Jets’ full benefits package.
