The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and management of one or more of the organization’s categories.  This role is responsible for the overall success of the P&L of the category and gives focus, urgency, and sharpness to the market presence of the product line.  The product manager will have direct responsibility for product line priorities and be responsible for understanding market segmentation and providing strategic direction.  This individual will work collaboratively with other product managers to lead the overall HVAC Division portfolio for Supco. This person will also work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to drive effective launch strategies and penetration of the market. This individual will work closely with other functional disciplines (engineering, finance, operations, and technical services) to define new products needed for capturing market share and consumer awareness. 

 

Job Duties:

  1. Own & drive NPD activities including but not limited to ideation, scope, costing, price positioning, channel strategy, go to market readiness and see through the execution while collaborating with Engineering, Supply chain, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales
  2. Lead strategic product planning, product roadmaps and business plan that supports category growth
  3. Identify key market segments and verticals for additional revenue opportunities and market share gain
  4. Gather VoC intelligence as it relates to current and potential product offering
  5. Conduct extensive market research and competitive analysis to determine emerging trends in the marketplace and identify feature gaps
  6. Assists in packaging and technical document development
  7. Creates and/or collaborates on product content for training sessions with internal and external customers
  8. Exhibits positive energy and acts as a change agent in the organization
  9. Oversee/review annual sales forecast and existing product category inventory as it relates to turns & forecast and provide recommendations for optimal inventory health
  10. Implement and report on key measures of product success to advise product development efforts
  11. Knows and explains product features/benefits, understands/sells the full product line, understands customer's business operations and needs, understands/responds to the competition, applies market knowledge

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or General Business
  • A minimum of 3 years in Product management, Marketing, Sales or Engineering
  • Prior experience in HVAC, Sheet Metal, Durable Goods or Construction Industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing multiple full lifecycle product launches, from ideation through commercial release and end-of-life
  • Results driven individual with strong follow through from beginning to product launch through collaboration and relationship building
  • Strong Excel Power Point proficiency with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically 25% of the time

 

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $71k - $94k of MRP annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
